Sony KDS-55A2000

When I want a new toy that will have to last for quite a long time I usually take my time to explore my options and compare things into oblivion. A good example is a new television. A big fucking television. I've been wanting to buy one for a very long time but I never seemed to be able to find what I want. Now that I'm living in Sweden and a very, VERY cold winter is coming up I guess it's an excellent time to make a decision. Right now I'm on the brink of going to a store and buy one but I figured it would be great to use my blog to get some opinions on my of choice. So here it is: the Sony 55" Grand WEGA SXRD Rear Projection HDTV KDS-55A2000. Let's take a look at this beast!

Design is Dead

After a collegue told me about this post by Jon Hicks and the desktop extravaganza that followed I felt the urge to jump in as well. Here's my contribution, in my own dark and cynical way. The biggest problem a faces in my opinion is the fact that every idiot has an opinion about and tries (or forces) the designer to consolidate to that opinion. In that respect life of a back-end developer is definitely a lot easier.

If you like it, just click it to go to flickr and download the big-ass version.

Also check out the Flickr Pool to check out what others came up with!

Updated: Added two more!

I'm not dead!

Tuesday Sep 12 2006

I realize it's been a very long while since I've posted anything new on my weblog. In fact I feel quite bad about it. I figured it's time to post a small update to let you all know that neither I nor this site are dead. Far from it even. I'm quite well on my way getting settled in Stockholm. Not everything is as easy as I thought initially but we're having a nice place to live and we've made many great new friends. As much as I'd love to tell you everything about my work, I'm not allowed to do so yet. Hopefully this will change soon though! What I can say already is that I'm working with wonderful people with great creative and/or technical skills. It's very nice to be at a company where web standards actually matter.

Since last Sunday I finally got connected to the internet from home which is why I expect to get blogging again very soon. Stay tuned for a little while longer while I try to prepare new stuff to post!
