Spam in the name of God

This morning I received one of the most remarkable spam emails I ever got. The message itself was written in Dutch which is remarkable in itself because there's (still) not much spam in Dutch. It doesn't end here however. The contents of the message was both remarkable and kind of upsetting to me. The email urged me to sign a petition against not having the name of God (the Christian God, just so there's no misunderstandings) in the European constitution (or whatever is going to be created after the majority of Europe gave their big fat 'NO!' to an European constitition).
Apparently German Chancellor Angela Merkel has proposed to NOT mention the name of God anywhere in the final document. All I can say is: Go miss Merkel!
While I have absolutely no problem with people practicing whatever religion they like, I get a serious itchy rash from people who feel the need to shove theirs down the throats of others. So my message to the creators of this spam message is: You can stick your petition where the sun don't shine. The same thing goes for your spam email. I welcome you all to the 21st century where there's no place for religion in politics. Religion mixed with politics leads to dangerous and disturbing things. Just look at terrorists justifying their actions with Islam, or on the other side of the spectrum president Bush who attempts to fool his audience with statements about God being on his side. It's all a load of crap people. Neither God nor Allah have publically voiced their preference for any political movement and somehow I think they're not going to any time soon.
Everyone please enjoy your religion but for f*ck's sake keep it away from people who aren't interested in it. And yes, this includes laws and... their inboxes.
What a lovely place this world would be if people would just be able to keep their religion separated from world politics...
For my Dutch readers who are interested, here is the text from the message.
