Switched to FeedBurner
I'm probably one of the last bloggers in the world to do this but I've finally switched to FeedBurner. The main reason is the fact that I thought it would be interesting to know how many people are actually subscribed to what I have to say. A secondary reason is the fact that FeedBurner allows to add all kinds of semi-useful extras to the feed such as the number of del.icio.us bookmarks, Diggs, Technorati links and a lot more. The new feed is here but everyone subscribed to the old feed should be redirected to the new one automatically.
Even though the little graphic in my sidebar still shows a depressing '0 readers' everything seems to be working fine. Auto-discovery tags are updated and the original feed address brings up the FeedBurner feed. I guess it needs some time to come to life. If there's any problems I'd love to hear about it.

You could have done this with Mint as well, without giving a company full controll over your feed.

I see your concerns. However, I’m using temporary redirects to FeedBurner. This means the original URL to my feed has NOT changed and I can get rid of FeedBurner at any time I want in case I feel the company does wrong things with my feed without losing any of my subscribers.
I can live with it like this!

Apart from all of this I simply hate the design of the button. :P It’s WAY too much 1999. I mean, come on… Pixel fonts… Damn.

which is the original unchanged address of my feed. I think I’ll be fairly OK.
I agree about the 80’s nature of the button
