'Lush' for WordPress

Tagged with: Christoph Boecken mailed me this weekend to let me know he finished porting my rather popular Typo theme Lush to WordPress. This news made me very happy! Porting the Lush theme to WordPress is something I've always wanted to do but never really got to it because it takes quite an effort to do this right. Christoph has done an exceptional job at porting the theme. Not only did he port the looks of Lush, he also ported all AJAX candy! Live commenting, AJAX comment previews, AJAX live search, it's all there in full WordPress glory. So if you like Lush but you don't want to run Typo, now is your chance to run it on the world's most popular weblog tool of choice!
Head over to Christoph's website and check it out! And Christoph: There was no need to make any apologies anymore but since you did: They're of course accepted. Thanks for doing this great job for the WordPress community! I'm quite sure many people will love you for this!

One problem though –
I already had a page titled “About this site” when I enabled the theme. When I enabled the “About this Site” option in the lush control panel, I ended up with 2 “About this site pages” that were linked. One ATS entry in the “About this site” category and another in the pages section – they were the same post however. I can’t get rid of the entry under “Pages” without deleting the entry under “about this site”. Coinfused – you will see if you visit my site. Any ideas? IU guess its a database thing, but I’m just getting into blogging, so I’m not an expert yet. Any help gratefully received.

on topic: I also managed to finally implement my own font to the headlines! Thanx to the wonderful work of both Coldforged (http://www.coldforged.org/image-headlines-plugin-for-wordpress-15/
) and Huddledmasses (http://www.huddledmasses.org/jaykul/automatic-images-for-headlines/) my blog now has its own special feature, besides all the goodies that came with Lush!
