Playing with Ajax
I started playing around with
Ajax for a change. A friend of mine told me about
prototype.js, a pretty cool Javascript library for dead easy cross-browser Ajax development. I gave it a swirl last night and came up with the following calculator demo. It works like a normal calculator. Calculations are done server side with a small PHP script. It took less than an hour do both understand
prototype.js and produce a working example with it. Pretty nifty!

Update (again)
I have implemented an Ajax 'instant preview' in the comment form. If you've finished your comment you can check what it looks like before submitting it. I guess it's official now: prototype.js kicks ass!
As soon as I've done some more with this library I'll write some more articles explaining how it works. Very exciting, very easy and very Web 2.0. In case your hands are itching to give it a try as well, read this developer notes page and you'll be Ajax-ing away in a jiffy!

There’ve been TONS of discussions about tags on the net in which the whole world has been (and still is) completely ignoring my comprehensive tags-engine called ‘Taggerati’.
My anti-referrer spam solution got little or no attention until Shaun Inman did the same thing with Mint and there’s more. We’re nobodies dude, let’s face it and just don’t care about it ;) I’ve already stopped worrying about it!
