For those who never read the small-print: I've made my htaccess file with a LOT of referrer spam blocking rules freely available. I update this file regularly whenever I see referrer spammers sneak through. If you need to save some bandwidth you might like to download and use it. Note that the last four lines are specific to my site. You have to remove those, keep your own site-specific rules and copy/paste the rest of my rules into your own .htaccess file. Thanks to Bob for the enormous list of spammy IP ranges.

If you have an interesting related post on your own site you can leave a trackback. As they say: 'a little AJAX a day keeps the spammers away' which is why you'll have to click below to generate a trackback key. The key will be valid for 15 minutes and can be used only once.
