Pivot-Blacklist: a first line of defense for Pivot bloggers against comment-spammers

Pivot-Blacklist is a simple but rather effective extension for Pivot to defend your blog against the horror of comment-spamming. The current (initial) 0.1 release has the following features:
- scanning of comments based on Jay Allen's MT-blacklist datafile
- additional datafile for your own rules in case some spam isn't caught by the blacklist
- Blocking and redirection to a user-defined page after spam has been detected in a comment
- Automatic daily update of the MT Blacklist datafile from Jay Allen's site

The approach I took with my blog was to edit the templates to take away the ability to post comments. I still get the occasional comment listed in “Entries” and still have hundreds of “trackbacks” per day and have to delete these manually. How can I block trackbacks?
