It's finally here!

After many years of (semi) serious photography I finally have a dedicated photo blog. Of course I could post photos on my weblog but I figured it was time for a dedicated site for my photography.

I've been an avid Flickr user for many years but the one thing I was missing was to be able to distinguish between daily life snapshots and the 'serious' photos. This site will only showcase what I think are my very best photos. So, if you're interested in all my stuff, stick to my Flickr. If you're only interested in the good stuff, stay right here. Maybe you even want to subscribe to my photo RSS feed.

About me

My name is Marco van Hylckama Vlieg. I'm a web developer at Yahoo!, a tech blogger, a designer, (lately) a family man and of course: a photographer. If you want to know more about me, check out the about page on my weblog.

Equipment

I take my pictures with a Nikon D70 equipped with a Tamron 17-35mm f2.8-4, a Nikkor AF 50mm f1.8 and a mighty Nikkor AF-ED 80-200mm f2.8. That's all the hardware geekery you'll hear from me as I rather let the images talk.

This website is powered by Pixelpost. As much as I love Pixelpost, I found one thing was lacking: a solid theme made with web development best practices. I found some decent ones but nothing I really liked.
